A:Answer The 6700 is the easiest way to go. Just a simple swap of just the processors. No new BIOS needed, but get the computers drivers up to date first before installing. 6700 is what I installed. I bought the 7700 initially but I couldn't get a straight answer if I needed to install a new BIOS before installing the processor so I traded it for the 6700. The speed difference is negligable, but you would be buying a processor that won't soon work with new mobos, or at least that's what the salesman told me.
