A:AnswerI own one and I took it apart. The hard drive is upgradeable. I put a SSD in mine, made a clean install of windows 10, and it made a world of difference. The cd/dvd drive also has a sata connector, and I thought of adding a second drive in place of the dvd drive.
Also, I added a qualcomm Atheros ar9462 wifi N + bluetooth, and an additional antenna in place of the standard wifi card. This laptop has only one antenna.you'll need the second antenna for bluetooth and N speeds.
A:AnswerGood evening Ali. Here are the basic differences between the two processors. I have owned systems with Celron and Pentium processors and I favor the Pentiums all the way, especially the quad-core ones. Anyway, here is a brief rundown of the two processors:
... Clock Speed: The clock speed is one determining factor in how fast a processor is, and the Pentium 4 chips are made to run at a faster clock speed than the Celeron.
... Cache Memory: The amount of cache in a CPU can have a great effect on its performance. Celerons have less cache than a Pentium 4.
... Bus Speed: Pentium 4's also have faster bus speeds than Celerons.
Hope this helps.

A:AnswerDefinitely would recommend it. I just purchased this laptop because I just started m first year of college, and the laptop is quick. I've had it for about a month and it doesn't lag/crashes. I think it would be perfectly fine for her playing Sims. Battery life is great, after fully charging it, battery lasts for about 5 hours for me. Lightweight so she can carry it anywhere.
A:AnswerI read in reviews online that this laptop is upgradable ONLY to 8gb; But it also states that the 4 GB ram in laptop is soldered to motherboard. Not worth upgrading even if you could, the RAM ould cost you over $100 and you may as well buy a faster laptop. I'm not sure how many slots it has. You may want to find out.
