Yes it comes with a pen and it has a battery and buttons so I guess you can consider it an active pen.

It pivots 360 degrees on an "ergonomic hinge" which slightly raises the keyboard in laptop mode. It does come with the ASUS Active pen. I've only had it since Christmas, but so far, I am quite pleased. It has a very small footprint for a 14" laptop, because of extremely thin bezels. It has Windows Hello and always recognizes me.
