1) There is an old message in the cue that needs to be erased, or 2) the machine is going to need to be replaced. This is my 2nd answering machine of the same model. I had to replace my first one, but I had purchased additional warranty when I bought my 2nd one. They don’t make many answering machines anymore, so I don’t know how that’s going to work out if this machine starts acting up. Hope this helps.
