Works great, just announcements of phone numbers is a little fast Would definitely purchase again, if anything happened to this one

I was happy to see this digital answering machine available through Best Buy. Not an easy product to find either in-store or online. The price of the product was quite reasonable. With the instructions included, setup was fairly easy. The ability to hear the incoming phone number identified is a plus.

This ATT answer machine is a superb item but is priced low to purchase. I had its previous version for about 20 years and never had a problem except when it life came to an end. I had no reluctance to purchase the current version, and its even better than the previous version.

The product is sized to fit almost anywhere, and has only a few simple buttons with clear labels and instructions. The speaker and volume positions are clear. I was a little concerned about the text labels sizing, but the high contrast (black on white) makes easy reading. Great for people who remember 'old telephone' technology. The unit looks modern but have familiar characteristics. An 80 year old took a quick look and was able to feel comfortable with using it.

This machine is very reliable and does simple recording of telehpone messages. The setup is straight forward and very intutitive. It took me 5 minutes to setup the machine from scratch and 2 minutes after a power failure.

My old machine needed to be replaced. This one did the trick and the price was ok. Easy to set up.

Audio is very clear, easy to scroll through messages, having Caller ID phone numbers recorded is very helpful (sometimes caller is not so precise with diction). I wish I could get one with three separate mailboxes that caller can choose from (press 1, or 2, or 3 to leave message).

I ordered the AT&T 1740 Digital Answering Machine to replace the Model 1710 that I had used for many, many years. I think the old one was fried by a power surge or something and died. I find the 1740 to be a reliable machine, clear sound, and gives date and time whereas my old one didn’t. It also doesn’t leave a blank space when robocalls come in, that I later have to delete.

In the market, it is hard to find an individual answering machine. This one is good and the price is cheaper also. It is easy to install and it has time and day stamp.

I bought this answering machine to replace an old one I had from Radio Shack that died. This one is SO much better and has so many more features than the one it replaced. The set-up is so much easier because it talks you through it and I like that it has a volume control that I can set to be loud enough to screen calls from across the room. I've kept my landline all these years because it was the only thing in my house that worked when my power was out for 7 days after Hurricane Sandy.

Perfect answering machine. Set up was a breeze. Retrieving messages is really easy.

My 93 yo cousin did not like it - no rational reason given. I returned it when it became obvious that BBY had given me a previously owned unit, without disclosing that fact (I ordered it for in-store pickup). It seems easy to operate even for a senior citizen, with clear audio instructions for every step in the setup, including the current date. The same red button is used for all the adjustments. Hookup was simple.

Easy to install, easy to use. If you still have an old fashioned POTS line, this is the way to go

There are not many stand alone answering machines left on the market today so I was happy to find this one that I could connect to our current office telephone system. Very easy to use, sound is clear, price is great.

This is the second one I've had, the first having given out after many years of great service. I still like having an answering machine for my landline phone. This one is easy to set up, reliable, and does a great job of recording the message. I'd hate to be without it.

needed a stand alone answering machine to replace broken one and already had cordless phones in place . it works well and clear and audible. Holds many minutes of messages which is feature I wanted. Set up and change were smooth
