A:Answerin the back of the manual page 31, it says " your telephone can support up to 12 DECT 6.0 CORDLESS HANDSETS AT&T model CRL30102 sold separately. it has instructions how to "register" the additional handset.
A:AnswerYes. When you are young these things come easily. By the time you reach the eighties we are a bit slower to adapt to something new. We got AT&T Cordless Expandable phones still getting accustomed to these. Pleased overall with this product.

A:AnswerI don't think you can "announce" without the recording function on. not sure. Your second question, I turned off the 'audible caller i.d." myself. (it kept mispronouncing names.)
A:AnswerYes, you can add up to 12 total handsets. I bought a two phone system with an additional handset. Simply place the new handset in the main cradle, and in a minute or less it's part of the phone system.
