A:AnswerThis is nothing to do with the phone and everything to do with people/companies spoofing thier phone number which is way to easy for them to do so they either randomally generate a phone number or try to make it look like a local call. The phone providers or fcc needs to fix this. You can also have your number hidden on your end which will generate a number not available on the other end for privacy.
A:AnswerIt is my understanding that most, if not all, modems have a jack in the back that the main unit has to be plugged into if you are using the same service to supply your home phone as you do for your Internet access. That was our experience.
