Yes. We purchased it outright (not on an installment plan) as a prepaid phone to use on a postpaid line. It came with a prepaid SIM (the SIM card # starts with 89014103....) which wouldn't work for postpaid service. However, all we had to do was visit a corporate store to get a postpaid SIM card (the SIM card # starts with 89014104....) activated on that line.

Yes it does. My wife uses it with our standard ATT account. The main thing is that this phone is locked to the ATT network. It will work as a prepaid phone or with a standard account, but only on ATT.
