“If I bought this phone in a box and installed my AT&T Sim in it from my monthly plan would it work ????? I just need a phone I have AT&T service my other phone died on me.”

Yes, you can transfer another sim card and it'll work. If the sim card in your present phone doesn't fit, you can go to an AT&T store and they'll install the correct one and activate it to your phone number for a small fee. Think they charged me $5.
