This phone is for ATT which means GSM vs Verizon which is CDMA based. If you use the Verizon compatible version then they should be able to help you shift over your prepaid balance and keep your number. Your plan pricing will be based on what you select and all charges may very area to area due to tax policies. To copy over all your contacts, messages, photos, etc you may need to install an app to both phones. After you do this: First: you need to connect both phones to the same wifi network or instead backup your old phone/tablet to google "Drive" app. Second: go to either the google "play" or apple "app" store, then download and install the "Copy My Data" app Third: Follow the instructions on the "Copy My Data" app, if you copy the old device to the new over wifi you don't need to back it up first to google "Drive", otherwise you're simply backing the old device to the google's "Cloud" in the form of the "Drive" app" and restoring it to the new device by selecting it's "Drive" app "restore".

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tried to use the AT&T phone transfer app to transfer my contacts from another AT&T phone, but got a message saying that that phone was not compatible with the app. So it wasn't the fault of this phone. It did load the phone numbers of my Google account contacts.
