Q: QuestionDo we need an amplifier or any other device to hear these as intended, or plug and play into mobo of my pc acceptable?

• A:Answer An amplifier is not required but a good one could possibly enhance the sound further. They headphones should work fine connected to the headphone jack on a pc.

Q: QuestionHow does this model compare with ath-msr7gm? Can cable be swapped out for a 16 foot cable? Thanks.

• A:Answer The cable type has been changed from the typical single 3.5 mm stereo (3-pole) male plug type at the headphones to our independent left / right A2DC detachable coaxial connectors type. Two cables are provided with the MSR7b Headphone, one with a standard 3.5 mm stereo (3-pole) plug and another with a 4.4 mm 5-pole plug for connection to devices having a 4.4 mm balanced headphone jack. Both cables are 4 feet in length. We do not make a longer cable that uses A2DC type connectors. You would have to add an extension cable to the cable with the 3.5 mm stereo (3-pole) male plug at the device end to extend the length of the provided cable.
