Q: QuestionI have a vintage Kenwood receiver with a phono hookup. My Dual cs 508 turntable doesn't seem to want to work anymore. Will this turntable work with the phono hookup? And if not, which turntable that Best Buy carries will? Thanks!

• A:Answer Yes it will work. All of our turntables, with the exception of the AT-LP140XP Professional DJ Turntable, have both non-equalized PHONO level and RIAA equalized LINE level output. There is a switch on the rear of the turntable which allows you to select PHONO or LINE level out. Since you have phono jacks on your receiver you would set the preamp selector switch on the turntable to PHONO.

• A:Answer No, it does not. A phono preamplifier is built in and may be used or bypassed using a simple On/Off switch located on the rear of the turntable.

• A:Answer The turntable does require speakers. The simplest setup would be to connect the turntable directly to a set of powered speakers. Powered type speakers have their own amplifier built into them, eliminating the need for a separate stereo receiver or amplifier. Following is an example of such a speaker. Q: QuestionI've been enjoying this turntable, which I'm using with the Edifier - R1280DB Brown 4" Powered Wireless 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) (also purchased on BB.com). Can I buy a CD player to just simply hook up with both this TT and these speakers?

• A:Answer Yes, you can. There are two sets of Line Level RCA input jacks on the back of the active speaker. Connect the CD Player to the remaining set (left and Right) of inputs.

Q: QuestionI'm not sure if I damaged my stylus while trying to put the protective cap on. (Seems difficult to place the protective stylus cover without dinging the actual stylus.) Now my records don't play. Do i need to get a whole new cartridge or just a stylus?
