A:AnswerAs you can tell from the official company's answer ("No, it is not a defect. Have a nice day.") that is just the way the toaster is designed to work (if you consider that working). The fact that it is designed so poorly and therefore toasts unevenly isn't considered a defect by the folks as Bella who would have to fix the problem if they admitted that it is a problem. So they won't offer you any resolution to the problem, other than encouraging you and your half-burnt, half-untoasted bread to have a nice day.
A:AnswerI think that must be a misprint since right under the Defrost Cycle heading it states " Your toaster both DEFROSTS and TOASTS bread in a single cycle. I defrosted an English muffin; it just took a bit longer than if it was already thawed.
