QuestionDoes this adapter transit both video and audio? Or does it transmit only video? I understand that the Belkin 4K Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Cable does both. This one is so much more affordable, so I'm hoping that it transmits audio too.

- Answer To my knowledge, the Surface Pro 7 does not have a mini display port. In order for this item to work, your computer/laptop must have a mini display port. You will also need an HDMI cable to connect to the TV/Monitor. I believe the Surface Pro 7 has a USB-C port, so you would benefit from a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Hope this helps

- Answer MHL is a USB port that adapts to HDMI... This is NOT for the USB Port. This adapter is for the older Mini Display Ports that connect to HDMI. I am using this adapter to go from my 2012 Macbook Pro to a monitor with HDMI. Your computer needs a Mini Display Port.
