• A:Answer The Blink system is designed to capture motion based on heat moving across the field of view of your Blink camera. The system will often detect motion from pets walking in front of the camera. Using the Sensitivity setting in camera settings, you can make adjustments to fine tune the system to avoid alerting pet motion.

• A:Answer The Blink Outdoor cameras come with a free trial of the new Blink Cloud Subscription service through the end of the year at which time you can choose to continue the cloud subscription service for a nominal fee, use the sync module 2 and USB flash drive for local storage (flash drive sold separately) or do nothing, you can still use these cameras for live view and to receive motion alerts they would just not record.

Q: QuestionHow do blink outdoor attach to home.can a five set work in five places around home

• A:Answer We do supply regular hardware screws with the Blink camera mounts, but you may likely need to purchase an anchor or other screw type for brick, metal or other depending on the wall surface you were going to mount the camera on. Please note, use of the included screws for the mount will create two holes in the surface of the wall. Assuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction. As far as how far away the system can be from the wireless router that would depend on the strength of your internet/WIFI, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength for optimal performance.

• A:Answer You are able to add Blink cameras to your existing Blink System at anytime. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The Blink cameras on the sync module can be in any combination. Currently Blink only integrates with IFTTT and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices.

Q: QuestionWith the new local storage feature, how are the videos viewed that are stored locally on a USB drive? Do you have to remove the USB drive and put it into a computer to access the videos?Can the videos be accessed/viewed via the Blink app?

Q: Questionseems very little information and pictures of the mounts or options for hanging these outdoors. I dont want to drill into my vinyl siding for these. be nice if you at least offered or recommended third party brackets. I have to know how to hang these

• A:Answer We do ship mounting hardware screws with each Blink mount. The use of the included screws would create two holes in the surface. There may be third party companies that do offer another mount to use with the Blink cameras but we would not be able to speak to their functionality as they are not made or tested by us at Blink. • A:Answer The sync module 2 will still function like a traditional sync module, compatible with all generations of Blink cameras. However, only Blink Indoor and Outdoor and Blink Mini cameras will be compatible with local storage functionality. All other generations of cameras (indoor, XT and XT2) will be cloud based if/when they are added to the sync module 2.

Plus, if adding Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras to an existing Blink system that has been activated on or before 4/15/20, you will be grandfathered into your current free cloud storage model in the Blink app. Systems activated after 4/15/20 will receive motion alerts and be able to enter Live View for free, with the option to access video recordings in the Blink app through a cloud storage subscription. Local Storage options are available with the Sync Module 2 and a removable USB storage drive.

• A:Answer All existing customers who have an account created on or before 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on all devices added to their account going forward – this includes Mini, and Blink Indoor and Outdoor. Separately, any XT2 or 1st generation Indoor cameras added to an account created after 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on those devices, but any Mini and the new Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras added to that same account will require either local storage via the Sync Module 2 or a subscription for cloud storage to save videos.

• A:Answer The Blink Outdoor cameras are battery operated, however the sync module needed to operate the camera would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet at all times. To give our customers the greatest convenience under standard use, all Blink battery-powered cameras last up to two years on 2 lithium batteries.
