• A:Answer It will work on a 5G band wifi,but it will adjust to the minimum required. The subscription is given for 30 days upon setup,and u will have the option to purchase after the 30 days are up,and its only $10 for all the features and $3 for the basic features!

Q: QuestionI take care of my mom and would like to use this to monter her while I am at work.will this connect to my phone so I can watch her and does it alert me when motion is detected..do I have to hook up to her wifi and can it be picked up by other cameras

• A:Answer Hi Tavo! The Blink Outdoor 4 is IP65 rated, meaning that it's completely dust tight and resists jets of water. Specifically, "Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm (0.25 in)) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects." So you won't have any issues with the average rain storm or snow fall with the Outdoor 4! They're also rated to function from -4 to 113 Fahrenheit , though extremely cold temperatures might have an impact on the battery life. Q: QuestionCan the subscription plan be used in a foreign country even if it's been paid in the US ?

• A:Answer Due to region locking, a device will only be guaranteed to work in the country where it was purchased. Once the system is setup, you may travel anywhere in the world and will be able to view that existing system through your app, you just cannot necessarily unplug the system and take it with you to that foreign company, but you may be there and view the system back home remotely.

• A:Answer There is a subscription for our cloud storage, but customers are not required to use it. Another storage option is local storage, activated by plugging a USB flash drive into a Sync Module 2 (or a Micro SD card into a Sync Module XR). Local storage has no recurring fee to use the feature. Either of these storage options will let you view clips remotely from your phone. Without a storage system for your clips your system will be able to detect motion, notify you of the motion, and live view. Q: QuestionSubscription service says $3 mo to one device. I assume that means one camera, so each add camera is another $3 on basic plan. Also micro storage can be used on this not just the XR version? How about a USB stick? Will camera pick up objects 100ft away?

• A:Answer The Basic plan covers one device, while the Plus plan ($10/month) covers the entire account no matter how many devices there are. Only the 'Blink Sync Module 2' is able to utilize a USB drive for Local Storage. Our devices are tested and rated to accurately detect motion up to 20' away. With higher sensitivity settings things further than 20' may be picked up, however they are not rated to.

• A:Answer Hi Terri! The Sync Module Core included with this 5 camera system does not support micro SD cards, I would suggest checking out a version that comes with the Sync Module XR if you want access to local storage via micro SD card. You only need a smart device like a phone or tablet in order to download the Blink app and get things setup, and then you can check your alerts and access live view directly from that app. While Blink works great with Alexa, you don't need to use Alexa to access your cameras. To avoid a subscription, you'll want to set up local storage with that Sync Module XR, and the cameras support two way talk so you'll be able to hear the videos and speak to anyone you see while using live view. • A:Answer Hi Ts! To use the Blink Outdoor 4 system with Google Home, you'll have to use IFTTT which can be a little bit complicated. Here's a link to Blink's website about how to set things up: https://support.blinkforhome.com/en_US/f-a-q/how-do-i-use-ifttt-applets-with-blink. • A:Answer Hello Marian, The Blink Outdoor 4 security camera can be moved and transported yes. However, I would only recommend using it on a safely secured network. A Guest Network at a Hotel for example is generally open to anyone else on the Network. Most Hotel guest networks require a login via a web browser as well, which the Blink Camera's do not support. These Cameras would work at a VRBO as it is a more private network however, I would be very cautious at any sort of time share or rental property as the owner of the rental may also have access to the network as well. If you would like to set up a Blink Camera while you are traveling, this can be done on a private network such as a Hotspot or Travel Antenna. This would be the safest way to proceed as you would be the only person with access to a private network. I hope this helps!

• A:Answer Hi Dick! The Blink Outdoor 4 Wireless camera's installation is probably referring to putting it up outside of the house, which some customers prefer to have done professionally. If you'd like the install the camera yourself, the process is pretty simple and can be done a few different ways. A lot of customers use the included mounting kit to attach them to the outside of their homes. You'll also need to use the free Blink app to set up the Sync Module Core and connect it and the cameras to your account, but the app will walk you through the process. If the port cover is removed, the camera is no longer weather-resistant unless it's powered through its USB-C port using a weather resistant USB-C adapter (sold separately). Hope this helps!
