• A:Answer Blink cameras take two AA batteries. It comes with non- rechargable lithium batteries. Lifetime depends on setup and quality of batteries, but any AA will work. There is also an option to plug into a USB type outlet without batteries installed.

• A:Answer All clips recorded, irrespective of a subscription or local storage being used, are able to be viewed on-the-go through the Blink application on a mobile device. If the SD card is removed from the Sync Module XR or it loses power, then you would not be able to utilize local storage whereas a cloud subscription is available 24/7 as it is not stored locally on the Sync Module.

• A:Answer Hello ed and thank you for your question! No, the Blink Outdoor 4 XR Wireless camera can not connect to a satellite . The Blink wireless systems require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with at least 2 mbps upload speed per device. Hope this helps! Have a great day!

• A:Answer When you have multiple Blink cameras, the Sync Module lets you manage them all and view them all on the same app. The XR module (or the Sync Module 2) has the option to use an SD card for local storage. The Sync Core module included with some other Blink systems do not have a place for an SD card.

• A:Answer Hi McKay! The range listing is for the distance from the Sync Module XR can be from the Outdoor 4 that's connected to it. For the range they'll detect motion, here's what Blink says on their website: "Blink cameras use either Passive Infrared (PIR) or Pixel Difference Analysis (PDA) to detect motion. Both technologies provide similar motion detection. Blink cameras detect motion best from about 7 to 19 feet (2m to 6m) away, and can respond to motion at 30 feet (10m)." • A:Answer One camera of mine has burned through 3 battery sets in less than a month because the sensitivity setting was high. It is set at "2" now, but captures many fewer events. The batteries are not rechargeable. There is an option to plug it into a USB type outlet.

• A:Answer Once its storage reaches 100%, the Sync Module will automatically delete however many clips are required to store the incoming file(s). There are several factors to consider such as clip length and selected video quality.

• A:Answer Hi JB! From the FAQ on Blink's website: "Yes, Sync Module XR is compatible with all Blink cameras. However, Extended Range is available exclusively for up to two Outdoor 4 cameras per Sync Module XR." So the XR Module will work just fine with your Blink Outdoor 3 (at the regular range, like you noted). I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
