- Answer It doesn't self clean. You have to manually clean it. Frequency would depend on how much long hair gets caught under it and I guess how dirty of a place you live in.

- Answer It has a dust bag that you can either empty or replace. I’d probably just replace it. For me, I think I’d have to replace it every 6 months or so.
