As long as you have a phone number with Boost Mobile and activate the phone, it's all ready. You don't need another sim card as it comes with one. Depending on what plan you have with boost, you can have unlimited text. Hulu, Youtube, etc. is supported as well, depending if there is an app available or you can view it online from the web browser
