Q: QuestionWhen installing the dishwasher can the attachment brackets on top be moved to the sides, left and right, to screw into the surrounding cabinets. I have granite countertops so there is no way to secure to the underside of the countertop?

Q: QuestionMy parents have a Bosch dishwasher and they were told to not use dishwasher tabs because it is too much soap. They were told to use powder detergent and use very little. I was wondering if this was the case for this model as well?

Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have a setting to beep or alert you when the dishwasher is done washing?

• A:Answer I do know the timer goes down to 'zero' when the cycle ends, and then you will see the timer start blinking as an indicator. Only installed the unit a couple of days ago. Do not know about any audible alert as have not yet been in kitchen when cycle ended. It may say in user manual, but I have not yet studied it for all details. Will do that this weekend, as I need to explore optional settings. It seems to work fine, and is definitely quiet. Wife is pleased.

• A:Answer This is an ADA specific size dishwasher. If you want more specifics on this please check the web. However, I can share what happened with my recent experience in efforts to assist you. I purchased a property, and couldn’t find anything that would fit the underneath counter “hole” due to the height constraints I had. It occurred to me that I may have a property set up for something I had no idea about. I was right! It’s definitely not huge/ but certainly IS in terms of a dishwasher. The difference between a maximum height of ADA standards of (approx) 33” and the Standard dishwashers of 34-36.5” it’s obviously DIFFERENT. The hole is only so big, right? Right. There’s your answer. Hopefully it’s helpful.

• A:Answer Hi Wen, thank you for your question regarding Model:SHEM3AY56N. Are you asking about the heated drying? If so, this is the process we use: The final rinse uses high-temperature water to make the dishes very hot. The stainless steel tub of the dishwasher cools faster than your dishes because stainless steel cools faster than glass and porcelain. Condensation occurs when the moist air in the dishwasher comes into contact with the cooler stainless steel tub, and turns into water droplets. These water droplets trickle down to the bottom of the dishwashers and are drained. Since it’s a closed system with no fan, the cleaning process is more sanitary. With no exposed heating element, plastic utensils and dishes places on the lower rack will not melt.

Elbow connection with 3/4” female hose threads on one end and fits your water supply line (copper tubing, compression fitting, or braided hose) on the other. 2.Hot Water Supply Line - Minimum 3/8″ O.D. copper tubing or metal braided dishwasher supply line. Only needed if house water supply line is not sufficient. 3.Shut-off valve and fittings appropriate for hot water supply line (copper tubing/compression fitting, or braided hose).
