QuestionIf the gas range is on, the knobs are in the ON position, and a power failure occurs at the same time a flame goes out, does the gas continue to run, unignited?

- Answer Hi Jef, thank you for your question and interest in Model:HGI8056UC. No, the gas only flows without a flame for a few seconds. However, once the burner is turned off, during a power outage you would be able to light with a match.

QuestionShould my new Bosch 800 Built in wall oven fan make a noise ?

- Answer HI there. Thank you for your question. If you are referring to the 800 Series Gas Slide-in Range, it is normal for the fan to run in certain circumstances. The convection fan will run while the oven is preheating for the bake mode. Slide-in models also have a cooling fan that runs during every cooking mode. It is normal to see or feel steam or warm air escaping from the oven vent. Do not block the vent. When the oven has cooled to a pre-determined temperature, the cooling fan turns off.

QuestionIs it correct that if my counter top height is 35.5" that I will have to have someone cut my granite at an angle at either side in order to allow the "ears" of the range to slide over the counter top? My cut out width is 30". The range is 36.5" high!

- Answer Hi Valerie. Thank you for your question. The Slide-in Range is designed to slide over your countertop and to prevent food and liquids from falling between the range and cabinets. Here are the dimensions for the range. Overall appliance dimensions: 6 1/2"–37" H x 31 1/2" W x 29 3/16" D. Required cutout size:35 1/2"–37" H x 30" W x 25 1/4" D. Adjustable range height: 1 1/2".

QuestionI also have a brand new Bosch 800 slide-in gas range, which I love except that the fan is inordinately noisy and annoying, because it seems to oscillate in speed. It lasts about 15 min. before shutting off. Technician couldn't do anything. What to dp?

- Answer I had the same problem but Bosch had their engineers come up with a fix. Call Bosch and they can fix it, service tech put a new motor and bracket in. Works like it should now!

QuestionI see the height is listed as 36.5. Does that include the height of the grates? What is the actual height (with feet/levelers to lowest point) to top of cooking surface with grates installed? I'm short lol, it matters!

Questionif the side edges on the HG18056UC makes the stove 1n inch or so wider than 30 inches how does one slide it into place in a 30 inch opening

As per the drawing provided on the second page of the product specifications, the widest part of the appliance is situated at the front end. Consequently, the appliance may extend beyond the opening and may not be completely flush. However, the unit is designed to fit into the cutout opening, in accordance with the specifications.
