A:AnswerNo, a subwoofer is not included nor compatible with this system. Included in the box are the following components: 2 speaker arrays, 1 control pod, 1 speaker cable, 1 power pack and 1 AC power cord.
A:AnswerIf you are not satisfied with the sound from you PC or iMac, the Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker is perfect. The separate Volume control is sleek and it has a jack for Audio output as well as audio input. I love it.
A:AnswerI searched everything that Bose gave me with my Companion20s. Nothing was stated. I used to own a custom speaker manufacturing company years ago. I can give you my opinion and guesses only. Sorry, but just trying to help. The wattage may be only 50 watts. Frequency response sounds like it starts around 40HZ and goes up to 21,000HZ (I used Bose tweeters in my systems and that's how I know how high they go). THD for my 40 year old ears, I really heard no noise at full volume. Pretty impressive for computer speakers. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerI also noticed how short the Bose speaker wires are, and had to buy an extension from RadioShack. The guy assured me that the chord I bought wouldn't cut out on any audio quality, and as far as I can tell, he was right. It's a small cheep fix for great quality sound!
A:AnswerYes the cable is available. I just posted a detailed review showing part number and point of confusion. The part you are requesting is for either the Companion 20 or 2 series iii. Call Bose and order Material Part Number 364138-001S It is a six foot extension cable. Hope this helps.
