A:AnswerIs it blue tooth connected ? No it is not. It has to either be plugged in to the AUX wire or plugged in to the sound dock. But you can control it by the bose REMOTE.
A:AnswerNot sure, might put too much stress on the connector. And I doubt that it would be able to charge the iPad. IPhones need .5 amps to charge, iPads need 2.1 amps to charge. You could, and I do, use the auxiliary input with my iPad.
