• A:Answer So as for height you will need at least 16 inches but if u slide it under the cabinets you will have to slide it out to add more beans to grinder. Exactly the problem I have so I leave it sitting at the edge of my counter to keep the coffee bean lid clear. And the machine is 12 inches wide and sits 12 inches deep. I hope that paints a good picture as far as size of actual machine.

Q: Question60HzHi, Im from the Philippines. A few years ago, I bought a Delonghi Espresso maker from Best Buy online store. When I got to the Philippines and tried to use it, the drip was so slow, and there was no power from the machine. I learned later that the Delongi had only 50hz electric cycle rating. In the Philippines, we are already using 60hz cycle. I did some research and indeed there are certain appliances in the US might not be compatible to work in the Philippines. Unfortunately, these information is not found in the specification on the product. Can you advise? Im interested to buy the Breville Express 25shot Espresso maker

• A:Answer Kamusta Rey I looked in my manual that came with the device, unfortunately it does not state the hertz required to operate the device. It does say the device is to be used with a 3 prong connector in order to ground properly. It also states that the voltage required is between 110 and 120 and not to exceed so. I'm not sure if this has given you clarification but hopefully some more insight is gained. Good luck, -Tyler

• A:Answer I have only owned and used the Barista Express for a few weeks, but from my own personal experience I do not think it would make a good machine for a coffee shop. Also, the warranty specifically states it is not covered if used in a commercial setting such as an office, hotel, etc.

• A:Answer The portafilter I believe is stainless steel. There is a bit of plastic between the spout and the basket of the portafilter that can be easily removed with a screwdriver and a little force. It is there for heat retention but I removed mine because...plastic.

• A:Answer Yes. There is a dial on the side that you can turn to steam or hot water, just set the cup under wand and turn to water. I believe it even turns off at 8oz. From the power button to steaming hot water is less than 10 seconds. Love this machine! =)

• A:Answer I know this question has been up here and unanswered for awhile but I would make sure that you are using the correct cleaning cycle. My machine has at least two... One is the basic clean using little tablets and the other is more intense and descales and cleans the internal pipes and uses the entire water reservoir. If you go to the manufacturers website or even google there are a lot of videos on what exactly you need to do for each cleaning cycle, and once it's done properly (and everything is clean) the light will go off. I found that my machine requires minimal cleaning when using filtered/bottled water. When using unfiltered water the machine will need more regular deep cleaning/descaling. Hope this helps!

• A:Answer I’m not familiar with “Cuban Coffee “ but personally I wouldn’t use anything except whole beans dialed in to pull your perfect shot. If you use grounds that are too fine you run the risk of not enough water able to filter to your drink and it could taste burnt or really bitter. It does dispense hot water, so depending on the powder coffee you use (if it’s instant) that may be an answer. But at this price point you might want to consider a water boiler just because Breville espresso machines are designed to use pressure to extract the flavor from the beans

• A:Answer It's not hard, especially if the burr lifts out easily, which mine didn't. Don't be afraid of putting a lot of pressure on the wire. If that doesn't work turn the grinder wheel on the left side to the highest setting and try again. And if that doesn't work call customer service, they helped me a lot. I find it time consuming, especially getting all the beans out. I purchased (on amazon) a very small hand held battery operated vacuum and it works great getting the beans out. Enjoy your new machine!!
