• A:Answer The ink lasts forever pretty much. I haven't run out yet but most printers require all cartridges in order to print. If your levels indicate that the color cartridges do not need to be replaced yet then it's fine to order only black. All of my color printers, HP, Epson will not print if a color is depleted.
