“I checked this out at the store tonight and it seems to have a PLASTIC handle? How can that be for something this expensive?”

Since observing that this is a plastic handle I've found dozens of reviews and complaints that state the coating is subject to peeling off. Many on GE's website. What is being done to address this?

I just posted a negative review about this specific issue. I have this MV oven and the handle not only super cheap, it also poorly attached and came off my oven just 14 months after we bought it. Warranty expired at 12...
