Unfortunately, we do not have a decibel rating for this microwave, but rest assured that we strive to design our products to operate as quietly as possible.   • QuestionMy microwave(Cafe` model #CVM521P2M1S1) stopped heating foods ,is there a reset button?

    • Answer Hi there - Thanks for reaching out. We hate to hear that your microwave isn't heating your foods and apologize for the inconvenience. If your microwave runs but is not heating, there could be one of many components that is not working properly. Please make sure the “Timer” function was not inadvertently used. Check to ensure the door is closed securely. Open the door and close it firmly. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms. You can reset the unit by disconnecting power for 2-3 minutes. If the above doesn't resolve the issue, service may be needed.     • Answer Hello Dave - We appreciate your interest in the CVM521P2MS1 and we are glad to assist. This model has to be installed over a range; it is not designed for a countertop installation. Over-the-range microwaves ovens cannot be used on a counter or shelf and are not UL approved for this purpose. Keep in mind the underside is not flat on over-the range microwaves and would not provide a stable surface. Additionally, there can be a heat issue, especially if the vent fan or surface lights were accidentally turned on. We hope this helps. Thanks for checking. Café 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width (29 7/8"), and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. A trim kit is not available.   • QuestionReset filter light is on what should I do?

    • Answer Hello Darlene, thank you for your question! The charcoal/grease filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty/discolored(usually after 6-12 months, depending on hood usage) or filter replacement LED is on. When the Filter Replace LED turned on, replace filter and press Reset Filter button.   • QuestionCan this Cafe over the range microwave model CVM521P2MS1 (or CVM517P2MS1) be installed over a Cafe gas range such as Cafe model CGS750P2MS1 or CGS700P2MS1? There is nothing in either of these range's literature saying that a professional hood is required.
