• A:Answer Hello - Over-the-range microwaves cannot be used on a countertop or shelf. The underside is not flat and would not provide a stable surface. Q: QuestionWhat is the width of the microwave with the door open? Most microwaves need extra space or they cannot be mounted flush with face of cabinets

The overall width of the microwave is 29.875 inches, and from the door hinge side to the adjacent wall there should be a minimum distance of ½”. If your space allows for that, there shouldn’t be an issue with installing the microwave. Q: QuestionDoes this model come with the handle or is that a separate purchase? Also, if this microwave is installed as a non-vented exhaust, do you need to purchase a charcoal filter separately (WB06X10807)?

• A:Answer Hello. Thanks for reaching out! This model comes with the handle. It also comes with the Recirculating Charcoal Filter Kit model WB02X35607. If the unit is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors. The charcoal filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage.
