• A:Answer It is as dark as the pictures show. The touch pad requires firm pressing to activate. I don't know if you can adjust the sensitivity. They no longer include hard copies of the manuals and the pdf's are a pain to read.

Q: QuestionI'm having my 30" Cafe Model CTS70DM2NS5 single wall oven installed this afternoon. Missa (in your review section) shows a picture of her Over- the-Range Cafe 30" Microwave mounted directly over her wall oven. I assume I can do the same thing.

• A:Answer Probably a little late but yes you can. You just needed enough space from the bottom of the microwave to the top of the stove.(can't remember exactly but 12 or 13 inches I believe)

Q: QuestionDo I need to cut a hole in the cabinet above for the exhaust or can it vent to the front?

• A:Answer The blower housing is adjustable for three positions of the fan. Top exhaust, rear exhaust and recirculate. If you want it to recirculate you will rotate the fan housing before installing the microwave. No cabinet cutting is required for recirculate mode. The installation pdf's are available on line that will show more details. One note, the fan is louder than you would expect it to be for a microwave. Brace yourself.

Q: QuestionHi there I just bought a Cafe refrigerator platinum glass and I noticed that the first glass of water is cold and the 2nd and third glass is not cold can you explain why or is this a normal for Cafe refrigerator water dispenser?

Q: QuestionAbove my range is 36in, not 30. My current 30in microwave has 2 filler pieces to fill in the extra 3in on both sides. Are there matching filler pieces I can use for this microwave? My current stainless steel ones do not match

While this model does have an optional compatible filler kit (under JX36BSS), that would have a stainless finish. At this time we don’t have a filler kit that would be an exact match for the platinum glass finish; we regret any inconvenience this may cause, and will certainly let our team know of your interest in a matching filler kit. If you do still choose to use a kit, please be sure to use the one compatible with your specific microwave, rather than an old one; those kits are generally model specific and may not work for a different model. Q: QuestionWhat is the height of the unit? On the GE site, it lists it as 16-5/16 in & on other sites (Lowes, Best Buy, Home Depot) it lists it as 17-5/16 in. Also, how much space should I allow for between the grate of my gas stove and the bottom of the microwave?

• A:Answer Hi there - We appreciate you reaching out to us. The overall height of this over-the-range microwave is 16.125 inches. Over-the-range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to.
