However the remote has an assistant button so you can press that and tell the remote everything you can tell your home Mini. You can also tell your home Mini to play music or videos on Chromecast and it will start it up on the Chromecast for you.

I will be returning it to the store and I'm disappointed that the google "support" team wasn't able to answer my simple question in a direct manner (resembling microsoft BTW)
