A:AnswerCameras are designed fir front and rear view only. You could mount the rear camera in such a way to get cabin view. It would take some experimentation with positioning to get the view you want.
A:AnswerMine stops recording all the time while recording. I unplug and plug back in—records for a little while then stops on its own again. Im quite frustrated.
A:AnswerYes. Compatibility is there for any phone or device (tablet) IF and only IF you have one of the two applications installed Drive Smarr or IDrive the signal is weak from the camera itself. I found it easier to copy files off from the micro sd card if you want them before the reformat. The device fills the card, then, when full requires a reformat. Ours does not over right because we installed a 128GB card.
A:AnswerIf you buy the optional hardwire kit (part: CA-MICROUSB-003) you can connect your camera directly to your fusebox. This will allow for Parking Mode and Motion Detection features when your car is off.
A:AnswerThe dashcam can be hardwired with a separate hardwire kit CA-MICROUSB-003 available on Cobra.com
The rear camera connects to the main camera for power using a 16.4 foot cable.
The rear camera is automatically hardwired when the main camera is hardwired.
A:AnswerIt is not waterproof, but we are developing an External Rear camera (FV-EV1) compatible with your unit. It will be launching before the end of the year.

A:AnswerYou can plug this into a USB battery bank. If you hardwire the camera (using CA-MICROUSB-003) you should be able to use this as a surveillance camera as long as the camera receives power. The camera will turn on and record when it detects motion or bumps.
A:AnswerDirect from Cobra's website, "Based on our engineers testing results, our dash cams can last from -20 to 70c weather. This includes all dash cams for our cobra line products."
A:AnswerSurveillance (Parking) mode will only work when the camera is hardwired to the vehicle's fuse box. This enables the camera to operate in a lower power mode until a recordable event occurs, at which point the camera fully turns on and starts recording. The kit to do this does not come with the camera and is not sold by Best Buy.
My local Geek Squad techs said I could get it from the manufacturer's website and they could install it (I opted to just use the included cigarette lighter power cable, with an added hidden connection in my vehicle--now that this does not power the camera when the vehicle is off, so the Parking mode feature does not work).
