- Answer Yes the engine will shut off when you push the brake pedal if the key is not in the run position.

QuestionWith two way communication and smart phone compatibility, does the system have a temperature sensor that allows you to see inside temperature of vehicle? I realize I must preset heater controls when exiting vehicle.

- Answer No. You must set controls. With the 2 way system, the fob will let you know that the car started.

- Answer I did not have to. Best Buy installed for me and have not had any issues. Like you, I was glad I did not have to sacrifice my spare key.

- Answer yes, If you step on the brake with out the key in the ignition, it will stall.

QuestionMy car has the start button. Can I use this remote to start the car without the car factory remote when I am in the car? That means I do not need the car factory remote anymore. only use the Compustar for the start button.

- Answer I have the Compustar with a push button start in my vehicle. The Compustar will NOT replace you original vehicle remote for a push button start. You will need both key fobs. In fact, the remote starter has a safety mechanism in it to turn off the car when the doors are opened. Once in the car, you can start your warm car as normal.

QuestionI have a 2015 Toyota Sennia with a remote start that you guys installed. The issue I’m having is my van when running and I shut it off the electric power shuts off completely. The van won’t start afterwards, new battery in.. there is no power at all.
