Initially, I had this problem. But as I kept cooking with it, I realized my temperature setting was too high. Most recipes and frozen food items called for the temperature setting to be somewhere between 350 and 400 degrees. That is way too high as this oven cooks at a much higher level (1800watts) than the conventional oven. Any frozen food items I cook are usually set to around 300 degrees and when I cook raw chicken, I start out at 325 degrees and then possibly increase to 350 degrees depending on if I need food to brown a little more. I normally cook frozen food items starting at 10 minutes and cook chicken/meat starting at 20 minutes, but I check every 5 minutes to ensure there is no over cooking on one side. I hope this helps.
