A:AnswerHi Maria, thank you for reaching out with your question. Our wifi enabled devices require a 2.4ghz wifi network to connect and use. These lights will not detect 5g networks. Feel free to contact us at 1-844-302-2943 if you have any additional questions! -Cync Support Team
A:AnswerYou can control the lights over a 5g network once they're installed, but you cannot *install* the lights over a 5g wifi channel. You have to add and install each bulb while the bulb and your phone are connected to your 2g wifi channel.
A:AnswerThank you for this great question! Our bulbs are not rated for any enclosed fixtures, as far as being able to control them individually, yes through the Cync app they can be controlled individually. Should you have any further questions please feel free to reach out to us directly at 1-844-302-2943 or chat with us at cyncsupport.gelighting.com. – Cync Support Team
A:AnswerWhen you start using these, IMO, the best thing to do is to commit to a smart home management system like Alexa. The first thing you have to learn is to think in a whole new way. Create your groups, turn you light switches on, and put tape over them. You will 'never' use them again. You don't need to. 'Routines' like sunrise and sunset (with + and - offsets) are built into Alexa's scheduling applet. The hardest thing about these things is learning to never touch a switch again and learning to think in a whole new way.
The direct answer to your question is no. The bulbs must always have power to be addressable. Even when they are not glowing, they are powered and 'listening." If they aren't, they won't work the way they're designed. You don't need those high-dollar fixtures anymore. A smart home with smart bulbs eliminates the need for them entirely. You can, and will do it all in the app (even the Cync app with no Alexa or Google assistant at all). The hardest part is learning to think about it all in a whole new way, but you'll pick up on it quickly once you have them installed.
A:AnswerSorry for the confusion Cassaundra! The full color light bulbs have more color options including the various white color temperatures (warm to cool) but also greens, blues, etc. The tunable whites only show different variants of white(warm to cool).
