- Answer You can pan & tilt from your phone and tablet. I have Apple products and it works perfect! Don’t know about the encryption.

QuestionDoes this camera (DCS 8525LH) support uploading video or images to your chosen FTP server? The old D-Link cameras all listed in their specs which software protocols they support, but I don't see that anywhere in this camera's specs.

- Answer No. Unfortunately, this 1080p (DCS-8525LH) does not support an FTP Server. It only allows you to save to the (subscription-based?) cloud.

QuestionHow do I change the resolution? I have 2 of the same Cams w/subscr & only 1/2 have the full 1020p resolution. I can’t choose b/w 720p or 1020 on one. They are the same distance from the router, tried Ethernet cable function as well. HELP

- Answer The camera is a point and tilt, meaning that you can move it around and adjust it's angel. There is no real zoom to it, but the camera is Full HD so the image is pretty good. I can see my kids faces when they walk in the door from school.

- Answer No. D-Link has its own cloud-based software similar to Ring, but unfortunately they can’t be intertwined. However, it’s very easy to use the D-Link mobile App along with the Ring App on your mobile device. Both apps are very easy to use! I currently have this camera and a Ring doorbell and I am extremely happy with the ease of using both apps for all my needs. Hope this helps!

QuestionIs there an option to turn off the night vison? I'm monitoring a parking lot through a window and the camera I have currently the IR lights create a glare in the window at night rendering it useless.

- Answer Select that device in the app. Then Click the settings option - looks like a gear symbol - click on that. In the options that are presented there is a “night vision” toggle. Select that into the ‘off’ position.
