A:Answer I have both models, and each has its advantages. The DCS-2630L camera has no wired network port, making it a little more challenging to set up at first. It has a wider viewing angle (180 degrees) which means almost no need to pan the camera left or right to view things, and has 1080 resolution resulting in a better image (although a bit rounded because of the 180 degrees). The DCS-5222L, though, has an easier setup and a more reliable network connection.
My DCS-5222L records flawlessly to its micro SD card, while the DCS-2630L has yet to recognize the same, exact model of micro SD card. I am hoping D-link will fix this with a firmware update.
