- Answer Hello Michael, There is no documented clearance specification. However, I recommend leaving a couple of inches or more of clearance above the speaker for the Bass Radiator to properly breathe. Please note that a speaker will tend to sound a bit muffled if it's placed in a tight space. I recommend pulling the speaker slightly forward to help with this. Be careful not to place the speaker on the edge to avoid the risk of it falling. Any object above the speaker should be sturdy enough to handle bass vibration. DT

- Answer Hello, both a 1/4 in - 20 Threaded Insert & Keyhole Hanger are provided on the rear of the speaker. A 1/4 in Threaded Insert is also provided at the bottom of the speaker. You must remove the footing to access the insert.

QuestionMy intention is to place these speakers in my book case. There will be virtually no clearance in the rear of the speaker except for the wire connection. Will this work? What kind of rear clearance is recommended?

- Answer Hello, the DT ProMonitor speakers will work just fine as they are suited to be mounted directly to a wall or placed in a book case. The Binding Posts are recessed. Be sure to leave clearance on the top, leaving room for the Bass radiator to breath.

QuestionWhat is the maximum angle you can adjust the tweeters from horizontal? I am trying to use these as height speakers.

- Answer The tweeters are fixed in the speaker. You would have to angle the whole speaker rather than the tweeter by itself. They do have a wall mounting bracket that allows you to angle the speakers up/down/right/left. ProMount 90 Articulating Wall-Mount Brackets. I didn't see a spec that indicated the angle, but it looks like it is over 30 degrees at least - maybe 45. Check out the Definitive website it it isn't on the Best Buy one.
