“Would you recommend this laptop for beginning college students? I imagine I wouldn’t use it for more than just online classes, Microsoft Office, and maybe some Netflix. I’m a business major, so they had no specifications on laptop requirements. Thank you!”

Yes I would recommend this laptop for a college student, however, you will pay for the specs. This laptop isn't cheap. For less money you can absolutely get a really nice computer that is more than capable of doing what you require. That being said, if you do purchase this machine you will not regret it. I would try to see if you can get it open box for sure. The 4k display is simply beautiful and the laptop comes with a pen from dell included in the box.If you're willing to spend the money it is a great machine.

When you're shopping, be sure to ask for the student discount, which may be as much as $100 (the price of half of a text book). I use a 15.6" sized laptop, which is great for streaming movies, web surfing, gaming, etc., but IMHO it's way too heavy to be lugging around from class to class. I suggest a 13" or even an 11."
