A:AnswerI just installed a Adata 1 tb SX8200 Pro in my G7. Read speeds aren't as fast as the drive is rated for (I also have one in my Ryzen 2700x new build and it gets 3450/2850. )
G7 Reads are about 2750, Write at 2700. Not bad....
A:AnswerThe chassis is plastic; however, it is built very solid, having almost no flex on the keyboard and acceptable flex on the screen. Despite it being plastic, it doesn’t feel very cheap to me, but still doesn’t feel incredibly premium as expected. For portability, I’d say it’s okay. The laptop starts out around 5 pounds and only goes up, and if you want to bring the charger along (which you most likely will need), that will add an extra pound or two. Overall, I feel that at this price point, it is most certainly a good purchase.
A:AnswerThe $1079 at BBY didn't have FP reader. 8GB is okay for playing 1 game, and not streaming at the same time. Dell did a good job on the upgrade bay. Easy to upgrade.
A:AnswerThe palmrest shows thunderbolt 3, and next to the port it has the logo.
The fan noise is insanely loud when you play games. I've always play games with my headset, but I am sure my roommates will complain.
Super hot at the hinge area, just below the Dell near the KB deck. borderline scorching hot. Than again, you have a GTX 1060.
Left side of the KB doesn't get hot.
A:AnswerDepends on the configuration. Mine has a 256 SSD and no additional hard drive. UP to a 2 tb SATA hard drive can be installed along with the included SSD. There are some configurations that already have the SATA drive. Also i use an external drive, WD 4 TB.

A:AnswerThe last person is incorrect as that is the RAM speed. The refresh rate is 60Hz bur there are 2 different types of panels that this is made with. Theres an LG panel and an AUO panel that can come with this. The LG panel is locked at a 60Hz refresh rate, but if you get lucky and get the AUO panel, it is overclockable to around a 100hz refresh rate if you do it correctly.
A:AnswerSSD is SATA in M.2 formfactor.
Ran CrystalDiskmark, and seq read/right was around the 400-500 MB/s
Would prefer NVMe PCIe, but for a GTX1060 plus i7 Coffeelake, $1,079, I wasn't expecting to see NVMe PCIe SSD.
