Notebook SSDs come in either 2.5" form factor or as the newer M.2 which uses a slot similar to DIMM. Neither option is soldered on and is user-replaceable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This has installed an M.2 ssd. There is an open 2.5" sata bay. You can easily replace the M.2 ssd - one screw holds it in. I put in a 2.5" ssd sata drive for extra space because they are so cheap - why not? It even has an SD card slot on the side (like used in a camera ) and you can boot off of it or just use it as an extra disk drive. See the bottom removed with M.2 ssd removed pic.
