What is S mode? What is it used for? null

S mode is used to keep people from installing software that has not been added to the Windows Store. This is an effort by Microsoft, supported by Dell, to make their computer more like a Macbook which can only run Apple software. This does make the computer more secure and safer for users, but you have to be willing to accept that you can only use programs and software that Microsoft has approved. You cannot easily disable S Mode unless you reinstall the operating system or sign in with a Microsoft account to disable it.

On windows 10 s mode, you can only get apps from the Microsoft store, though it is very easy to get out of a mode on any windows device and download apples form the internet
