“All I need is word. My initial start up keeps offering Office 360 and provides a free trial. I have not chosen the trial but have created documents using Word. Is word provided/installed and can be used indefinitely without buying office?”

The computer does come with Office but only free trial. Once that free trial is finished, you HAVE to sign up for Office 365 or buy products individually.
