HDMI is built in and works like a champ. I haven't use the SD card connection yet, but I bought a LAN line adapter, to hook up my FIOS and watch HD movies. I connected it to the USB type-C and it worked really smooth. The weight and size are perfect for me to take to college since that was the purpose of me buying it. I bought a Bamboo Ink pen but I haven't try it yet.
