yes with this laptop u can upgrade the drive from sata to ssd drive. be aware most of the time you might gain speed but loose storage spaceSSd drives are very expensive and in progress in storage has been very slow mainly I feel due to the cost.

Please try again later.Should have no issues, just need to have a system state backup to restore your OS and applications. just got a toshiba backup usb disk that has a system image function that works great. Then get you a $20.00 external USB drive housing and put the old drive in it.. now you have a nice 1tb storage device.
