  • QuestionThe Dell xps 13 sold by Dell has the 80 series Snapdragon processor why does this one only get the less powerfull 78 series

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Might want to check the specs prior to making false statements. If you look in full specs you will see this laptop is equipped with a X1E-80-100. Which is not the 78 series... As you can see from the attached picture, it's the 4.0 GHz model not the 3.4 GHz.

  • QuestionIs there a setting for the battery charging? Such as the 'CONSERVATIO'N mode on Lenovo laptop? I plan to leaving the laptop plugged-in. Thanks

    Asked by tpham1948.

    • Answer Yes, Dell laptops, including the XPS series, often have battery management settings similar to Lenovo's "Conservation Mode." You can typically find these settings in the Dell Power Manager application or within the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings. In the Dell Power Manager, you may see options like: Adaptive Mode: Charges the battery to 100%. Primarily AC Use: Charges the battery to a certain percentage (e.g., 80%) to help prolong battery lifespan when plugged in. Cool Mode: Limits charging to help keep the laptop cool.

  • QuestionHow to do Print Screen on this new XPS 9345? There is no PrtSc on its keyboard.

    Asked by tpham1948.

    • Answer On the Dell XPS 13 (9345), since there is no dedicated PrtSc (Print Screen) key, you can still capture screenshots using the following methods: 1. Using the "Fn" Key (Function Key) Press Fn + Shift + F10: This combination typically serves as the Print Screen function on Dell XPS keyboards that lack a dedicated key. It captures the entire screen. Alternatively, you can try Fn + F10 if the first combination doesn't work. 2. Using Windows Snipping Tool/Screen Snip Press Windows Key + Shift + S: This opens the Snip & Sketch tool, allowing you to drag and select a portion of the screen or take a full-screen screenshot. The screenshot will be copied to your clipboard, and you can paste it into an image editor or document. 3. Windows Key + Print Screen Press Windows Key + F10 (this may substitute for PrtSc) to take a full-screen capture and save it automatically to the "Screenshots" folder under "Pictures."
