QuestionThe specs say 10% total harmonic distortion. I expect closer to 0.08%. Different scale or mistake or really distorted?

QuestionI want to use this device with, 2 pairs of Bose Virtually Invisible 591 In-Ceiling Speakers and another 2 pairs of Bose 251 Environmental Outdoor speakers. dou you think that will work or you recommend another brand/type of speakers' thanks

- Answer This receiver does have a separate room hookup for speakers. Im running Bose cubes for surround, Klipsch KG3.2 for front and Klipsch 12SW sub....the sound is incredible. Highly suggest using the mic and stand that comes with it to set up the rooms sound. You wont be disappointed

  This unit utilizes wired speaker conections. If the speakers you are interested in use the same connection then it should be compatible.

QuestionHi I asked a question about this receiver and my 140W Klipsch speakers and the answer said the AVR puts out 85W per channel. In the specs of the description is says 165W per channel, 1155/7 channels. Is it 85w per channel or 165? If 165 then back to my ?

  Unfortunately, you will not be able to connect any wireless speakers to this unit directly. You will need to have a 3rd party device that would connect to the unit and sends a signal to the wireless speakers you are looking to connect. Our authorized dealer Best Buy should be able to recommend a product that would allow for this.

QuestionI need an audio out on this receiver to connect this unit to a separate amplifier that controls wired speakers throughout my house.. The only output I see is the HDMI to the TV, is there any way I can get an output audio signal to feed my other amps with?

  Unfortunately the AVR-S740H does not have any PRE-OUT connections to allow you to plug into any other external amps. You will need to look into our X-Series units starting with the AVR-X3500H and higher since those units have the connections you are looking for.

- Answer Yes, you can switch between the 2 zones, playing either by itself or both together. AND the zones can be playing both zones simultaneously at separate volumes (very helpful with a party where you might want inside volume a little quieter than outside.

- Answer I'll give you a two part answer. First it has Bluetooth technology. Allowing you to connect your phone, smart pad, and computers. Second it does have optic plugs in the back allowing you to connect a wireless base for head phones. But as for a traditional jack that you would plug headphones into. Yes. You will need a transition price howerver to plug in and downsize for traditional headphone jack plug in.
