Q: QuestionI have hearing issues and use Sony wireless headphones. Does this have an output/sound out capability that doesn’t turn off receiver sound?. I want to hear both speakers ( for the family) and listen with headphones (me).

• A:Answer Just tried connecting my I-phone to the AVR-S650H and received a “Connection Unsuccessful, make sure Denon AVR-S650H is turned on and in range” message. This receiver replaced a Denon AVR-X1500H and the X1500H would automatically turn on when the I-phone connected. Not sure if there’s a setting on the receiver that needs enabled?.?.?

• A:Answer Yes, you can add the receiver to your devices in Google Home after you connect the receiver to your wifi. I would rename it though, because the standard name is the model number. I changed it to "receiver". And I can say "Hey Google, play blah blah blah on receiver". And it'll play on whatever speakers you have hooked up to your receiver. Also works with Alexa the same way.

• A:Answer Not recommended as the soundbar is a device which simplifies Left, right and center in one device. Just runa sound bar though the TV as that is what they are intended for. Buying a AVR suggests you are planning on having at least left-right speakers, a center speaker for cinema voice, and optionally a subwoofer and left and right surround speakers for full 5.1 experience

• A:Answer The AVRS650H receiver can power remote speakers wirelessly, but only with stereo (front left and front right). To get true 5.1 surround sound, the rear speakers need to be hardwired. • A:Answer Yes to all. Once you get all your audio and tv connections made and properly setup the receiver, you're all set. Denon comes with the Audessey room setup app that makes setup fool- proof. Works well for 5.2 channel and higher receivers. I've been a musician for many years and I'm very familiar with good sound and sound equipment. There are receivers with more features and wattage, but for a good, versatile sound system that is very user friendly and sounds great, you can't go wrong with Denon. Excellent 4K video and features as well.
