QuestionIs there a microphone that we can buy and connect to this receiver to be able to do karaoke via Bluetooth or wifi?

- Answer Hi Grace, Unfortunately not. None of our receivers have any karaoke features built-in. For karaoke use, a karaoke machine is required to connect to a surround sound receiver. While most modern surround sound receivers have a microphone socket, it is only for use with the room correcting set-up microphone (which is very different from a karaoke microphone). It does not function for a karaoke microphone.

- Answer Hello, the Denon AVR-S660H must connect to the TV via HDMI ARC, optical, or analog. HDMI ARC is recommended.

QuestionCan a Samsung Frame remote be synced to control this receiver? Would the receiver need to be exposed or can it be hidden in a cabinet in order for the remote to successfully input commands when changing volume from the Samsung remote?

QuestionFollowing up on my ? re: playing 4 pairs of spkrs. Not using HEOS for this. These are restored vintage Marantz and JBL floor speakers, and would be hardwired to the receiver. If a different rcvr. is needed, please suggest a solution using DRA 800H.

- Answer Hi Bob, The AVR-S660H can have two pairs of speakers connected. For music, Multi Channel Stereo might well prove to be your preferred setting. How well the AVR-S660H (or the DRA-800H) handles your speakers depends on how challenging a load it is they offer. The DRA-800H also will accept two pairs of speakers, but as this is a stereo receiver, it can only be selected to send the same feed to pair A as it can to pair B. The AVR-S660H can be used for surround sound signals to be sent to the second pair of speakers when playing TV/Movies/Games/Music.

QuestionIs this unit multi-zone capable? Can I drive a separate set of speakers from another input source? Ie, Zone1 uses FM station as it's input, Zone2 uses Pandora as it's input. Thanks

- Answer The AVR-S660H does not have the Zone 2 feature either as a pre-out or as an assignable speaker option. The next model up in our range (AVR-S960H) does have the Zone 2 feature courtesy of an assignable speaker pair. - Answer Yes, the Denon AVR-S660H has HDMI pass-though in standby mode. This feature allows picture and sound to pass through the receiver to the TV while the receiver is in standby.

QuestionWhat is the best setting for an AVRF-S660H to achieve a good surround sound? What volume setting should you use for a 5 speakers set ?

- Answer Hello, The best setting for sound is for the receiver to be set to match what is being received from the source. For example, if the receiver has a Dolby True HD feed coming from the TV or Blu-ray player, the receiver will need to be set to Direct mode for Dolby True HD - this can be achieved by pressing the 'Pure' button on the remote for the selection of 'Direct' mode. Your video source's digital audio output will need to be set to 'Bitstream' for surround sound, or 'PCM' for straight stereo (as found in the audio portion of it's menu).

QuestionCan the Bluetooth transmitter connect to any BT device? All the documents, manuals, & answers here are specific to headphones. The manual calls out routing to BT headphones or headphones + main (wired) speakers. But can I connect my BT speaker bar too?

- Answer Hi Frank, The AVR-S660H is set-up to run a 5.1 speaker system. You can run just a stereo pair instead, or even three speakers across the front (with or without a sub-woofer. The AVR-S660H is not designed to run two main pairs of stereo speakers at a time in A/B mode. That being said, with a 5.1 set-up, you can select Multi-channel Stereo and have the same stereo feed to the rear speakers as you have to the front speakers. If you want to run two separate pairs of stereo speakers in your home, and you don't need surround sound, have a look at our PMA-800NE stereo integrated amplifier: https://www.denon.com/en-us/product/amplifiers/pma-800ne If you prefer 5.1 surround sound, and the ability to drive a second pair of stereo speakers, have a look at the AVR-S960H. The second pair will be run, and assigned as Zone 2 speakers. https://www.denon.com/en-us/product/av-receivers/avr-s960h

QuestionHow many pairs of stereo speakers can this unit handle? My ideal scenario would be to have 4 pairs of stereo speakers (4 speakers in each of 2 adjacent game rooms), all playing the same output. Each pair has external volume control.

- Answer This receiver acts as a HEOS hub, so you can broadcast to other Denon stand-alone speakers wirelessly in locations these speakers have been deployed.
