Questionhow do i connect 2 pairs of headphone to this receiver. Preferable bluetooth. if necessary, is there a splitter input jack?

- Answer As you know you cannot pair 2 or more sets of headphones on Bluetooth and play at once. But you can run one set of headphones on Bluetooth and 1 set of headphones on the front of the unit via the direct quarter inch output jack. It will playback simultaneously. They also make a quarter inch single male to dual female stereo out Y SPLITTER JACK for your headphones. Old school technology and still works today. You should find it cheap at Best Buy or online. For more bucks you can visit a Music Store and buy a professional headphone preamp with multiple outputs intended for recording studio use. Good Luck, have fun and enjoy the world of the Audiophile.

- Answer Yes, the X4700H supports both as it can power 9 channels and process 11 channels. For 7.2.4 you will need to use an external 2 channel amp for 2 of the channels.

QuestionI just bought the AVR x3700h but am not sure it will do what I need. I want to have 5.1 inside and 4 speakers outside on zone 2 that can both do the same audio. Can the 3700 do this or do I need the 4700 or something else like an external amp?

- Answer The X3700H can definitely do this, but you will need an impedance matching speaker switch if you want to run all 4 speakers to Zone 2. The AVR only has use of 2 amp channels for a powered Zone 2 application. Another option would be to connect 2 speakers to the AVR's terminals for Zone 2 and then use an external 2 channel amp and run that to the AVR's Zone 2 pre-outs. You can also assign a Zone 2 + Zone 3 if you're running a 5.1 Main Zone. At that point, you can have independent audio to Zone 2 and Zone 3 or the same audio to both zones using the All Zone Stereo feature.

Questionsometimes when i change from playing a game and go to xbox series x home screen i get the no signal screen from the tv, I either have to unplug the hdmi cable from my input of my tv or turn off my set up and turn everything on. Whats up with that?

- Answer I’m not having that problem with my PS5. There is supposed to be a flaw with 2.1 input chip that Denon is working on correcting. A workaround might be to plug directly into the tv if you’re using eArc hdmi connection to your receiver

Questionthis will allow 11.2 with an amp that adds 2 channels would I connect speaker wire to the amp and then the rca plugs to back of this receiver. What's a good amp that will allow 125 w per channel?

- Answer Yes, the X4700H can process up to 11 channels with an external 2 ch amp. You can look into our sister brand Marantz. They have a 2 ch amp, model # MM7025. That would be 140W per channel. Aside from that, any 2 ch amp is fine to use.

- Answer The demon 4700 can push 11.2. But it only has 9 channel amps. So you would need the Oreo it’s to use for external amp to Power the other 2 speakers. Hope this helps.

QuestionCan I make a 7.2.4 Atmos System with this unit? I believe I would need a separate amp for the Height 2's, but just want to make sure. I'm pretty sure I could do it with the AVR-X6700H but it's $800 price difference. Thanks guys! ;)

- Answer More of some follow-up questions: What are the required specs of the powered amp? The Denon Website has “ 11.2 channel processing capability with two ADI Griffing Lite DSPs” but I cannot find info on those. How is this configured? Everything I’ve found from Denon is that 11.2 is possible, but I haven’t found any guidance on how exactly to achieve it.

- Answer You can disable the ECO meter or leave it in Auto by accessing the GUI and selecting General - ECO - On Screen Display. Then, select Auto or Off.

QuestionUnit is connected to 85” Sony x950H. Also connected to Denon is PC, Xbox, PS4, DTV Genie, WiiU and Sony 4k Bluray player. Frequently & randomly I lose audio & video for 2-3 seconds. Happens on multiple inputs. On 3rd unit with all new hdmi cables. Help!

- Answer The larger issue is the chip set issue and no 120k HDR. Google that, save your money for now. They're promising a fix soon, but some of us already own this and can only hope they replace it with a working unit.

- Answer Mine is warm to the touch but not hot. The entire top is vented and I keep mine clear of obstructions. Very happy with my purchase.

QuestionWhen will there be an update to solve some of the glitches, like when i set to volume to turn on at -30DB it reverts to lowest at -79db, if I set to last no issue. Also the same with audusy i set to reference and when i turn it on reverts to off?

- Answer A firmware update was released on November 11th, 2020 to resolve the issue. Or you can try the setting to use the last volume setting instead of a pre-determined sound level.

QuestionRoku 4k stick plugged into 4700 receiver, set up 5.2.4. Not using e arc connections, but audio is high speed hdmi. Atmos only outputs to 2 atmos channels not 4, even though receiver shows 9 channel output. Denon confirmed set up is correct for atmos.

- Answer Make sure the programs is being broadcast in Dolby Atmos or it will not play in Atmos. Sounds like your connection is correct.

QuestionMy question is with new AVR's. There is no tape loop. Question Is it possible to loop your equalizer through Zone 2 And back to Zone 1. Would like to not make my equalizer obsolete. Does this Denom AVR-X4700H allow you to do this ? where do l go for info

- Answer Alas, you're trying to combine old analog technology with new digital technology. It is not 100% compatible. This unit does feature some composite analog inputs for video and an analog input for a cd player. BUT THERE IS A WORK AROUND. This unit features a full bank of preamplifier outputs. If you run a set of RCA audio cables from FRONT L & R to an older Analog Stereo integrated amplifier, Receiver or a stand-alone Preamp and feed the signal to the Aux. input you should be able to save your old analog EQ, Open reel tape machine, Cassette recorder and anything else that functions Analog. Just output all the high-quality signal to your older analog setup. Or you could just use the built in EQ in this fantastic home theatre system featuring digital EQ processing. Alas NO ONBOARD DIGITAL RECORDING DUE TO COPYRIGHT PROTECTION. Good luck and enjoy!!

Questiongot SPK618 adapter yesterday i noticed it only works with the 8k hdmi port and not 4k hdmi I've noticed is i have to have both Instant game response & AMD freesync on my 4k lg to be able to see the info on Denon, it takes few secs for siginal with both on

Questionif i bought this today, would i be guaranteed to get a model that doesn't have the 4k 120hz bug?

- Answer Talk to Denon customer service today 11/12/21 he stated any avrx4700h made after May 2021 has the updated motherboard which fixed the bugs. So buying one today will not have the 4k 120hz bug issue. I use my unit for movies and theater effects and used HDMI connections. Sounds great. Which I purchased 8/25/21. Not a gaming person. Enjoy your purchase. I am enjoying mind. Plus Best buy has a 15 day return policy. Hope this helps.

Questiongot this yesterday, two issues. my xbox series x can do 4k/120hz, My lg gx4k is 120hz. this receiver is supposed to be 8k/60 and or 4k/120hz. when i change refresh rate for xbox it reverts to 60hz. where is the 4k/120hz that is supposed to do?
