“Why can't I get it to be recognized on my Macbook Pro for more than a few minutes? When I plug into the USB port to get info off a Dell laptop HD, it will run (I hear it and the blue light flickers), I see it look enough to start a virus scan with MacKeeper but, after a few thousand files are scanned and it looks like it is progressing, it stops, disappears and I get a message that the disk was "...not ejected properly" and "to select it in "Finder" and eject it. Also, that Mac OS wil attempt to repair any damage to the info on the disk. I can not see it anywhere to eject properly. Can you help me retrieve the old data and then formate it for an external HD?”
