Are you using USB 3.0? I had errors with this enclosure on USB 3.0 but it worked fine on USB 2.0.

Please try again later.PJChipper, I had some issue initially getting my iMac to recognize the drive from my PC laptop, but this was taken care of with a simple reboot of the iMac while the Dynex unit was still on and plugged in. On reboot, the iMac recognized the drive and presented it in Finder.
